Oliver Stone: Obama is SPINELESS PANTYWASTE!

Filmmaker Oliver Stone has some harsh words for Barack Obama. The director of JFK and Natural Born killers described the President as "spineless" and called him a "jellyfish." In addition, Stone called the chief executive a "pantywaist."

The film artist stated Obama broke all the promises he made during the 2008 and 2012 elections.

Stone said, "Something happened because none of the things he promised... transparency, a government that would reconsider the war on terror and these programs... none of that happened, none of it. The man stunned us with a lack of spine. He is a weak man." The remarks were made at a meeting of the International Students for Liberty, held in Washington DC.

Also at the convention was journalist Jeremy Scahill. The pair stated that the President completely abandoned promises regarding war and civil liberties. Stone and the reporter named talk show host Bill Maher and NBC as cheerleaders, encouraging warlike behavior. Both men named targeted assassinations, use of military force and secret operations as unacceptable. Schools teach the "Disney version of history, according to the pair.

Stone headlined the event. This was the first time he addressed a large group filled with young libertarians. The left-leaning filmmaker talked about how progressives and libertarians share many of the same political goals.

Oliver Stone is not the first liberal celebrity to make a break from Obama. Policies of the President, including widespread domestic spying, are causing a fury among those on the left. Celebrities such as Matt Damon, Barbara Streisand, and Gene Simmons of Kiss have abandoned their support for the President.
Playboy founder Hugh Hefner spoke out against Obama's foreign policy, saying "We go in with the best possible intentions, but we make enemies."

How The NSA is Spying on Americans ~ Oliver Stone

Date:10-2013 . Biography: Oliver Stone has been credited with writing and or directing over 20 full-length feature films, earning him a well-respected place in cinematic history for some of the most influential and iconic films of the last two decades.

Throughout his long career, which began at a young age writing short plays for his family, Oliver Stone has served as director, writer and producer on a variety of films, documentaries and television movies. He is widely recognized for his controversial versions of recent American history, some of them at deep odds with conventional myth -- films such as 1986's "Platoon," the first of his Vietnam trilogy, or 1991's "JFK" and 1994's "Natural Born Killers" and "Nixon," his 1995 take on the finer points and parables of the Nixon administration, as well as on George W. Bush in "W." (2008) Stone says his films are "first and foremost dramas about individuals in personal struggles," and considers himself a dramatist rather than a political filmmaker.

Oliver Stone Calls Snowden a "Hero"

Oscar-winning film director Oliver Stone weighed in on the controversy surrounding National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden, hailing him a hero at a news conference in Tokyo on Monday (August 12).

Russia has granted a year's asylum to Snowden, whose disclosures triggered an international furor over the reach of U.S. spy operations as part of its counterterrorism efforts.

"Snowden is a hero to me. Edward Snowden is a hero. Because he did this not for profit, not to give, exchange, give secrets away that could hurt our country supposedly. I haven't seen one evidence of that. He is doing it out of conscience. The higher law of his conscience is dictated it. He sacrificed his life for this," Stone said.

He praised Russian president Vladimir Putin for 'doing the right thing' and standing up to a United States, which he said, has used the threat of terror attacks as an excuse for more Orwellian control.

"But this is big brother in a way that Orwell could never foresee. They can see into every home. Obama says 'Well, don't worry about it, we're not listening in.' Yeah, but you could listen in and we know that somebody in the future, if it's not you, it could be Mr. Bush three, who comes along or, Miss Hillary Clinton, whatever," Stone said.

Washington's inability to persuade Russia to return Snowden to the United States has curdled U.S. relations with Russia.

Obama cancelled a planned summit in Moscow with President Vladimir Putin, although the two countries held high-level political and defence talks in Washington last week.

The academy-award winning director known for films like 'Platoon' and 'Wall Street' is in Tokyo with historian Peter Kuznick to promote his book and ten-part documentary called 'The Untold History of the United States.'

The documentary series looks at the underbelly of American diplomacy by shining light at events that were under-reported at the time but crucially shaped America's history during the 20th century.

He added that more countries had to say 'no' to America, including Japan, whose interest, he says, is aligned with China in the long term.

But added Japan should also look at its past history too.

"Don't look at China as your enemy. Start seeing it differently. Start by apologising. Start by apologising to China for what you did in China and all the people you have killed there. Start apologising for that," Stone said.

Relations between the world's second-and third-largest economies have now been hostile for months, with a row over disputed islands adding to wartime bitterness and a regional rivalry.

Bitter memories of Japan's military occupation still run deep in China and in South Korea during Japan's colonial rule from 1910-1945.

He said Japan would surprise the world and thaw relations with its neighbours if it started recognising its own past.

"What if Japan did that tomorrow? Wow. It would be like a spring. A thaw. A new world beginning. And then China would suddenly look at Japan a little differently instead of hating Japan."

Stone mentioned that producing the documentary was the most fulfilling film experience he has ever had and reinforced the belief that he was doing the right thing.

He visited Nagasaki and Hiroshima and will be leaving Japan on August 15 (Thursday).

Oliver Stone Calls For A New American Revolution! NOW!

Oliver Stone on NSA Spying : Some have claimed that Americans don't care about the revelations that the NSA is conducting massive surveillance on our private communications. But Oliver Stone isn't buying it. In a video produced with the ACLU, Director Oliver Stone shares some of his reflections on the NSA spying program and the disastrous legacy of unchecked government abuse of power. All Americans should stand up for our civil liberties at this critical moment in history, he says-- by asking our representatives in Congress to roll back the surveillance state.

Oliver Stone : The Untold History of The United States of America

Is America An Exceptional Country?

Oliver Stone is one of the few in Hollywood and in the United States who tells a honest story. But I am still of the opinion that the US has done more good than bad. However, I will concur that people tend to deify certain elements of US history without knowing all the facts. For example, WWII is described as the "good war." However, Allied troops committed more war crimes in WWII than were committed by US troops in Vietnam. US involvement in WWII was still a good thing, but we shouldn't think they were all beyond reproach. An "unjust" war is kinda an oxymoron. I'm sure, in 1938, Germans thought their war was just. However, let's take the most "unjust" war of recent memory. Vietnam. Why did the US get involved in Vietnam? Treaty obligation. Either the US could honor it's treaty with South Vietnam or betray South Vietnam and send assistance. You never read about that, but it's true. The US had to send help as part of its treaty with South Vietnam.

“The modern banking system manufactures money out of nothing. The process is, perhaps, the most astounding piece of sleight of hand that was ever invented. Banks can in fact inflate, mint and un-mint the modern ledger-entry currency.” Major L L B Angus

The few who understand the system will either be so interested in its profits or so dependent on its favours that there will be no opposition from that class, while on the other hand, the great body of the people mentally incapable of comprehending the tremendous advantage that capital derives from the system will bear its burdens without complaint and perhaps without even suspecting that the system is inimical to their interests.

"Debts must be collected, bonds and mortgages must be foreclosed as rapidly as possible. When, through a process of law, the common people lose their homes they will become more docile and more easily governed through the influence of the strong arm of government, applied by a central power of wealth under control of leading financiers.

This truth is well known among our principal men now engaged in forming an imperialism of Capital to govern the world.

By dividing the voters through the political party system, we can get them to expend their energies in fighting over questions of no importance. Thus by discreet action we can secure for ourselves what has been so well planned and so successfully accomplished."
